Liam Wilburn
Liam Wilburn is a research and development engineer at Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (known as AML) who specialise in advanced machining techniques primarily within the Aerospace, Defence and Energy sectors, delivering to large scale customers such as Boeing, Rolls-Royce and Siemens. A recent graduate in Aerospace Engineering, Liam brings a curiosity and enthusiasm for trying to embed research and innovation in a novel SME environment. At present he helps manage a portfolio of almost £2million in research grants within the company. Liam is a great example of the new thinking that graduates can bring to legacy style businesses and also has a personal drive to see latest technology and innovations embedded in industry, helping the sector grow and make it an exciting space to work in.
